"Journey of Gandhiji 1948-2010"
According to me when are you in trouble and the only way out of the trouble is money then you are not indulging in corruption and if you are not using money this time so whats the use of earning money, its better sit at home and earn few pennies. But using money just to get extra benefit or for some royal treatment, then I will say that corruption is being practiced.

My FairLady In Democracy
I was in Bangalore and was going to ITPL for an interview with a cramp bandage on my ankle. I took a bus from Banshankari to ITPL. Usually I prefer auto for travelling but going to ITPL will loosen my pocket so I preferred taking bus. The bus was not crowded at all so I sat on the seats in middle row. In few minutes the seats were full. Next stop a young girl wearing pink suit with a thick spectacles might be around 20-21 years entered, she straight away came to me reminding that it is ladies seat, I respectfully got up and said sorry and I saw something was written above that seat in Kannada language and similar word was also written on other middle and front row seats. After getting up I saw bus was fully crowded and couldn’t find a seat, so I have to wait for someone to get down in next stop.
After 5 mins, at next stop that pinky girl went off, so a seat was vacant again but this time I don’t want to sit on that seat because that seat was meant for weaker section of society i.e. Girls because a young and healthy girl cannot stand for 10 mins in a bus and wants a seat. My thinking would be different if a person would be an elderly man or woman. But girls will never admit to be a weaker section in society according to them they are equally powerful to men or even more than that. If that is the case so why you cry for reservations in schools, colleges, trains, buses, government jobs and now parliament also.
I was thinking about writing against women reservation bill but somehow I don’t want to be anti feminist but this incidence made me to write. The only question that comes to my mind why reservation and will it lead to solving the purpose i.e. emancipation of women in India?
Being India a democratic country where there is no biasness against caste, religion, gender and income so there is no point giving a 33% or 181 seats in parliament as this will only help daughter and wives of present MLAs and MPs as their chances of getting a seat in parliament is better than ever before. And if you think giving reservation to women will help in emancipation of women then there should be reservation for gays and homosexuals so that they can improve the condition of their mates in the society or reservation of Hindus, Christians etc. so that all can work for the improvement of their own society, and if this is the case it means failure of India as the world biggest democratic country.
And why not reservation for Muslims? 16% of population of India is Muslims i.e. 2nd largest, their condition in India is worse than women, majorly are illiterate, poor and they are a minority group. People in India are against them, they have very less government jobs and minimal seats in parliament so why not give reservation to them rather than giving only to women.
Jayalalitha, Mamta Banerjee, Mayawati and many other women politicians who are in power from many years, what they have done for bringing change in women’s condition in society? Women around the world are touching skies like Irene Rosenfeld of Krafts, Ellen Kullman of DuPont, Anne Mulcahy of Xerox and many more, so are there any women reservations in their country? So how can you expect the women who will get elect in future will lead to emancipation of women? Or this will make Indian women top CEOs around the world? But I am sorry to say that Indian women like Indira Nooyi, Ranjana Kumar and likes have already shown power of Indian women without any reservations. So it is a myth that women in parliament will help other weaker women in society.
I am not against women at all. I am an Indian I understand the condition of women in India and the treatment to them from many decades and still millions of girls die before they are even born- the female foeticide, infanticide and dowry killing still persist. Girls are kept away from education, proper nourishment, healthcare and work; they suffer thousand forms of discrimination. Solution is not by giving reservations but changing the mindset of society.
Things have to be done at grass root level that is by educating poor people and especially poor girl child. By giving proper education will make them efficient in politics, government, health and this will lead to a true and right way for emancipation of women in India. So rather than giving seats in parliament government should set a better budget for education in rural India.
Again, I am not against women or anti feminist and I cannot be against women as I have to stay with a woman all my life but I am against this bill because in shadows of greed and selfishness some politicians want to empower women in India. My college dean frequently used a word while giving lecture and the same word I want to use for this reservation bill i.e. BULL SHIT.
